Last night Jo-Ann and I had a wonderful book launch event for Tears and Tequila at Diesel: a bookstore, a their Brentwood location. It was a fantastic, standing-room only affair, and a night of many firsts for us. We’re excited that TEARS AND TEQUILA train has left the station! There will be more events coming soon.

First though, I want to share a wonderful post from a good friend, Erica Gerard Di Bona, who attended the event last night. On her blog, The Art of Thank You, Erica paid homage to Diesel and real bookstores everywhere–sentiments we all agree with here.

Here’s an excerpt:

“A hearty “thank you” for single-handedly keeping excellent bookstores around & alive. I attended a fully-loaded book signing event tonight at your Brentwood location. It was the first time I’ve had the pleasure of browsing your stacks, and I ended up buying cookbooks I hadn’t seen before and a history of Hollywood, just because it caught my eye…On behalf of those of us who still pine for the touch and scent of a bound book; a chance to see & feel it before carting it home; and the sensory stimulation of a room bulging with bindings—thank you.”

You can read the full post here, and others from Erica’s blog.

Thanks to Diesel and all who attended for a fantastic night!
